you may have noticed
that I
am now a college student
who is addicted to Rilke's poetry...
and drawing realism.

it's my new stuff, if that's what you want to call it.
I like details...so realism is fun for me..
and I really enjoy piecing images with words that fit..Rilke is fitting for so much that I've been drawing lately. I've only done two new pieces so far...realistic ones at least, but really.

i mean, finding Rilke in the bookshop was such a fated moment..it was the only copy in the store..and I'd never heard of him in my life that i remember. near e.e. cummings, which is what i had originally intended to buy. and then I saw "love poems to God". I flipped through the pages...I was flabbergasted. his verse is beautiful.

I highly recommend if you ever have some free time. it's beautiful even if you don't consider yourself spiritual or religious..
